COME SING MESSIAH
in Dr Denis Wright’s edition with Brass Band accompaniment
Saturday 30 November 2019 at 5.30pm
Doncaster Minster, 9 Church Street, Doncaster, DN1 1RD

Doncaster Choral Society is delighted to welcome you to take part in ‘Come Sing Messiah’
Here is some information you will need to enjoy the event to the full:

Copies:
Please bring your own copy of Messiah with you if it is the Ebenezer Prout edition as that is the one we shall be using. If you don’t have access to this edition, then you will be able to hire one for £1. Please sign the sheet provided so we can contact you in case anyone inadvertently forgets to hand in a hired copy at the end of the performance. The arrangement of Messiah that we shall be singing omits the following numbers:
Number 7
Numbers 34-39
Numbers 49-52

Dress Code:
There is no specific ‘dress code’ for this event – just enjoy singing with us

Rehearsal:
There will be one rehearsal for singers from 1.30pm – 3.00pm in Doncaster Minster

Seating Arrangements:
So singers are able to sit with others singing the same part, please look out for the signs showing where different voice parts will be seated

Coming to listen rather than sing?
There will be some areas of the Minster designated for people who would just like to listen rather than joining in. These will be clearly signposted

Refreshments between the rehearsal and the performance:
There are no refreshment facilities at the Minster but there are a number of places to eat nearby in the town centre

Performance:
The performance begins at 5.30pm. Please be in your seat by 5.15pm when our conductor Dr Simon Lindley will say a few words of introduction before the performance begins

Tickets:
Only £10 for singers and audience!
Buy them here:
https://www.wegottickets.com/event/479577
Or contact Christiana Daley on 01302 840728

And finally…..we hope you enjoy singing Messiah and helping us to make this event a real success.
